As part of Subaru of America's "Share the Love" campaign, Mitchell Subaru of Canton donated over $18,000 to Gifts of Love, an Avon-based nonprofit organization that helps meet the basic needs of individuals and families in Central Connecticut experiencing a financial crisis so that they can achieve and maintain self sufficiency.

The Share the Love campaign donates $250 for every new Subaru vehicle sold or leased during their winter sales season. Since the program’s inception, Subaru has donated over $50 million to charitable causes. Since last year, Subaru added a new element to the "Share the Love" initiative, in which each Subaru dealership was able to choose a local sixth charity to add to the five national charities that Subaru supports, and an additional $250 would be donated to this local charity when chosen by the Subaru customer. Mitchell Subaru chose Gifts of Love, and raised $18,050 during the "Share the Love" campaign for the organization.

On April 21st, Steven Mitchell, Vice President of the Mitchell Auto Group, and Jill Mitchell, director of community partnership development, joined the Mitchell Subaru staff in presenting the check to Diana Goode of Gifts of Love and the Community Farm of Simsbury at the Mitchell Subaru showroom, on Route 44 in Canton.
