Interior & Exterior Design Features
The standard configuration for the 2022 Ascent includes seating for up to eight. If you prefer, your Ascent can give you seating for up to seven by swapping out the second-row bench for two captain's chairs. Three-zone automatic control is standard so that you can stay comfortable year-round. Choosing the Premium trim level or higher will give your Subaru Ascent heated front seats, and if you choose the Limited model, you will get a heated steering wheel and leather upholstery.
The exterior features are just as impressive when you look at the 2022 Subaru Ascent. LED headlights are standard across the board. Select models add handy features such as a power liftgate and roof rails. If you opt for the Onyx Edition, your Ascent will have black accents for the exterior. It will also ride around on striking 20-inch black alloy wheels.
Performance Stats
The 2022 Ascent draws power from a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine, creating 260 horsepower and 277 pound-feet of torque. A continuously variable transmission (CVT) is standard for all models, plus all-wheel drive. The base model has the ability to tow up to 2,000 pounds, while upper trims can bring along up to 5,000 pounds when properly equipped.
Safety Features
If you feel concerned about staying safe, the Ascent can help. Adaptive cruise control and a lane-keeping system are available for all 2022 models of the Subaru Ascent SUV. The Ascent also comes with a blind-spot monitor and rear cross-traffic alert, except for the base model. Select models will also give you rear automatic emergency braking to help prevent accidents while backing out of a parking space or your driveway.

We know it is important to stay connected to the rest of your life as you run errands around town. Both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay smartphone compatibility are standard features. This tech gives your 2022 Ascent the ability to help you make hands-free phone calls, listen to your favorite podcast, and even look up directions to your next destination. If you choose the base model, your SUV will have a 6.5-inch touchscreen. The remaining models upgrade to an 8-inch touchscreen.
A six-speaker sound system is available in most 2022 Ascent models. The top Touring trim level upgrades to a 14-speaker sound system from the audio experts at Harman Kardon. That same model is also home to an integrated navigation system to help you find your way.
